1998 Chevrolet and GMC Suburban Keyless Entry Remotes

We received an inquiry from a reader who wanted to know what are the correct replacement keyfobs for a 1998 Suburban equipped with keyless entry. The reader did not specify whether the vehicle was a Chevrolet Suburban or a GMC Suburban or whether it was a C-series (C1500, C2500, C3500) or K-series (K1500, K2500, K3500) vehicle. No matter. All of these vehicles used a remote with FCC ID ABO1502T. Some used the 2-button part with no rear function and others used the 3-button part with “Rear2X” on the 3rd button.
