A reader asked what the correct replacement remote is for the 2005 Chevy Silverado. Well, if that truck has GM’s factory keyless entry system installed on it, the correct replacement remote is a 3-button keyfob with FCC ID LHJ011. The Remotes Unlimited part is 583-1583. For most vehicles that used this remote, including all Chevy Silverado trucks, the system is user programmable.
