2007-2013 GM Truck Keyless Entry Remotes with FCC ID OUC60270

GM trucks built from 2007-2013 used factory keyless entry systems with remote key fobs that have FCC ID OUC60270 on the back of the case. These remotes were used on both Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. Most trucks use Remotes Unlimited part 859-1859 (see link here), which is a 3-button keyfob with lock, unlock and panic buttons. This remote is sold in Pep Boys stores as part CPR-8859. For 2007-2013 Silverado and Sierra trucks with remote start, the original remote is Remotes Unlimited part 901-1901 (see link here).

Some suppliers of replacement remotes seem to believe that these keyfobs are always user programmable. They are not. In fact, beginning with the 2011 model year, they all require dealership programming. For truck models prior to 2011, whether or not a user could program their keyless entry system to accept a new remote depends on whether or not the Driver Information Center or odometer menu in their vehicle supported replacement remote programming.
