View CartA blog reader asked about a DEI remote transmitter with FCC ID EZSDEI487. There actually are several different DEI 2-way remote transmitters that have FCC ID EZSDEI487. These are very distinctive looking keyfobs, with 4 LED display lights that look like buttons above the function buttons. (In fact, some of our competitors think this is an 8-button remote.)

The original remotes have DEI part numbers A-488P, A-488T, A-488V and A-488X. The differences between these parts are mostly cosmetic. For instance, A-488X has a Clifford brand logo and all black buttons, while others have a different brand, such as Viper or Python, and may have non-black button icons.
These remotes were used on many different 2-way alarm systems. In addition to Clifford, Python and Viper models, the remotes were used on Matrix alarm systems as well. Some of the systems also used a 1-way companion remote. The 1-way remote has FCC ID CZ57RRKO.
