Mazda 626 Keyless Entry Remote for Model Years 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002

For the model years 1998-2002, keyless entry systems on Mazda 626 used a 3-button keyfob. This car remote had Mazda part number GD7D-67-5DY or GD7D-67-5DYA and the FCC ID on the back of the original remote case was either CWTWB1U411 or NHVWB1U215.

These car remotes look very much like the 3-button keyfobs used on Ford vehicles during this period, and several web sellers think they are the same part. However, this Mazda part is not compatible with the Ford remote, so be cautious when buying a car remote for your 1998-2002 Mazda 626.

Yes, 2000 Mazda 626 vehicles with factory keyless entry used a 3-button keyfob that we stock. It is Remotes Unlimited part 617-1617. See it at this link. This factory keyless entry system is programmable by a customer. Easy-to-follow programming instructions and free technical support are included with purchase.

    • admin says:

We do sell the original factory keyless entry remote that was used on 1999 Mazda 626 sedans. It is a rectangular shaped transmitter with lock, unlock and trunk buttons and our FCC ID NHVWB1U215. Our part number is 617-1617, which you can see at the following link:
      http://www.remotesunlimited.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=663

Factory keyless entry systems using this remote have on-board programming, so you will be able to program the vehicle yourself to accept the new remote. Instructions and free phone technical support are provided with purchase.

The factory keyless entry key fob for a 2002 Mazda 626 is Remotes Unlimited part 617-1617. You can see and buy the brand new OE part at the following link:
      2002 Mazda 626 Remote

You can program your vehicle yourself to accept the new transmitter. Programming instructions and free phone technical support are included with purchase.

We also have B-grade and R-grade parts available for this remote for as low as $24. B-grade parts are used parts that have been tested and given a new battery. R-grade parts have been refurbished by putting the circuit board in a new replacement case with a new battery. We do not offer these parts on our website at this time, so you will have to call us at 877-719-1900 (toll-free) to place an order for a B-grade or R-grade remote.

I’m interested in a refurbished remote for a 2000 Mazda 636 ES. Can you give me a price for an R grade and availability ? Also for a B grade ?

Do you mean a Mazda 626? We do not list a 636 vehicle. The correct part for a 2000 Mazda 626 is our part number 617-1617. You can see this part at the link below:
      Mazda 626 remote

The listing on our website is for a new part with a price of $67.00. We do also have used (B-grade) remotes for $24.00 and refurbished (R-grade) remotes for $34.00. Both of these parts have been tested and will come with a new battery. The difference between them is that the R-grade remote has a new replacement case on it. Both carry a 30-day warranty. (Under normal use, a working circuit board will generally continue to work for a long time.) We do not sell these through our website, so you would need to contact our customer service department at 877-719-1900 (or 281-820-0300) and choose option 2 for sales. They will be open again at 8:00am Central time on Monday.

Do the B and R grade remotes come with a guarantee to work ? How do the guarantees for new , used and refurbished compare ?Thanks

I would like to know if it’s possible to program more than 2 key-less entries for my 2001 Mazda 626 lx

    • admin says:

Most keyless entry systems used over the past two decades allow at least four remotes to be programmed to a vehicle. I do not know specifically about the 2001 Mazda 626, but the odds are that you can program more than two remotes to your vehicle. If you have a manual for the vehicle, you can probably find the information there. If not, email us your VIN and we can check for you.
