More on Newly Available Replacement Keyless Entry Remotes at Pep Boys

In my post of August 17th (link here) I mentioned a Chrysler/Dodge key fob that is now available in Pep Boys stores. In addition, two GM remotes are available in Pep Boys stores for the first time.

One of these is Remotes Unlimited part CPR-8859, which is a 3-button remote used on GM trucks and SUVs beginning in 2007. The original equipment key fob from GM has FCC ID OUC60270. Most systems using this remote are user programmable through the onboard driver information center (DIC) or the odometer menu; however, some vehicles require dealership programming with a scan tool. The Pep Boys retail price for this remote in most stores is $48.99, a savings of almost $25 versus the dealership list price of $73.69. In addition to Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks, this remote was used on Buick Enclave; Cadillac Escalade and SRX; Chevrolet Avalanche, Equinox, Suburban and Tahoe; GMC Acadia and Yukon; Pontiac Torrent; Saturn Outlook and Vue; and Suzuki XL-7 vehicles.
