Remotes Unlimited has part 95430-2V010 in stock and for sale at nearly $100 less than the Hyundai list price. This keyless remote transmitter was used on 2012-14 Hyundai Veloster vehicles sold in various places around the globe. To be sure this is the correct part for your vehicle, ask a Hyundai dealer to tell you the part number of the remote transmitter you need, or send the VIN with your order. You can purchase Hyundai part 95430-2V010 at the following link: Hyundai Veloster transmitter 95430-2V010

This transmitter does not come with a key blade. If you have a cut flip-key blade for your vehicle, it can be moved to the new part. A computer scan tool is required to program your vehicle to accept the new remote transmitter.

Labor Day Sale on Replacement Remote Key Fob for 2007-10 Hyundai Elantra and 2006-13 Hyundai Sonata

Remotes Unlimited is having a Labor Day sale on our part 706-1706. For a limited time, this OEM Hyundai remote transmitter (part number 95430-3K200, 95430-3K201 or 95430-3K202) is priced at only $59.00, a substantial savings from the dealer list price of $173.26. You can see and purchase this part on our website at the following link: Hyundai Key Fob 95430-3K20x

This remote key fob, with FCC ID OSLOKA-310T, was used on the following models:
2007 2008 2009 2010 Hyundai Elantra
2006 2007 2008 2009 (old body style) Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai introduced a new body style for the Sonata during the 2009 model year. If equipped with a key ignition, those vehicles used a transmitter with FCC ID OSLOKA-950T and OE part number 95430-3Q000/3Q001 from 2009 through 2013. That remote is functionally equivalent to our part 706-1706.

Please note that vehicles using these key fobs require a computer scan tool for programming the vehicle to accept the new transmitter. That means you will have to take the car and all remotes used with it to a dealership or well-equipped mechanic or locksmith for programming.

Order soon because quantities may be limited and the sale will end after Labor Day.

Replacement for 3-button Nissan Remote Keyfob with FCC ID KBRASTU10 and Model /01A

A blog reader wrote us to ask if Remotes Unlimited offers a replacement for the discontinued Nissan 3-button remote key fob with FCC ID KBRASTU10 and Model /01A. The answer is that we offer two replacement options that will work for the original transmitter. They look different than the KBRASTU10 remote but transmit the same signal. Remotes Unlimited part 739-1739 is an original Nissan part. Part 098-7413 is Remotes Unlimited’s aftermarket version of the Nissan part. You can see and purchase either part at the following link:
Replacements for Nissan 3-button remote with FCC ID KBRASTU10 and Model /01A.

Factory keyless entry systems that use this transmitter are programmable by the user. Instructions and free phone technical support are provided with the part.

CAUTION: You should be aware of this “Watch Out”. Nissan also made identical KBRASTU10 remotes with other model numbers. The options shown at the link above will only work as a replacement for original remotes with “Model/01A” shown on the back of the remote case.

Replacement (Audiovoxx) Prestige Remote Transmitter with FCC ID H5OT35

A visitor to our website recently asked about a replacement one-way remote transmitter for his Audiovox Prestige XRO9100 car alarm system. The correct part is Audiovox part XRO-91P with FCC ID H5OT35, Remotes Unlimited part 077-6496, which can be seen and purchased at the following link: RUI Part 077-6496

Two-way systems that use part XRO-91P, may also use two-way remote transceiver XRO-92P (RUI part 099-2630). This part has not been available from Voxx (Audiovox) for some time. As of the writing of this entry, Remotes Unlimited does have 1 pre-owned XRO-92P part in stock, which can be seen at the following link: RUI part 099-2630

Systems using either of these key fobs can be programmed by a consumer to add the new transmitter/transceiver. In doing so, it is important to have a working valet (cut-off) switch, and also helpful to have a working siren to be able to hear the feedback signals (chirps) emitted by the control module during programming.

Replacement Remote Key Fob Transmitter for 2001 Chevy Tahoe and Other Truck Platform Vehicles

A blog reader recently asked what part he needs for a recently purchased 2001 Chevy Tahoe. Here is our response:

GM used two different systems on 2001 Tahoes.

For the first half of the model year, which includes vehicles assembled up through February 2001, the factory keyless entry system on Tahoe requires our fob number 517-1517. GM no longer makes this transmitter, but we have re-newed OE 517-1517 parts in stock and also an aftermarket replacement for it. You can see and buy this remote at the following link: Part 517-1517

For the second half of the model year, which includes vehicles assembled from March 2001 forward, the factory keyless entry fob is our part number 514-1514. You can see multiple options and choose one to buy at the following link: Part 514-1514

If you click on both links, you will see that these parts are virtually identical on the outside. In fact, you can use the same outer case to re-case both of these OE parts. Do not let this fool you though. They have different circuit boards and are not interchangeable.

The same is true for most other truck platform GM vehicles built in the 2001 model year.

Audiovox (Voxx) Type 20 Prestige and Pursuit Remote Start Transmitters

Buying a replacement keyless entry, remote start or alarm system remote transmitter can be confusing. Often, there are multiple replacement parts that can be used interchangeably but look different. In other cases, parts that look identical are not interchangeable. That is why you need to purchase a replacement key fob from a company that really knows these products.

An example are the remote start transmitters for Type 20 systems from Audiovox (now Voxx). These systems, with either the Pursuit or Prestige brand, include keyfobs with either 1, 3 or 5 buttons. There are 8 transmitters overall. Four of these – with Audiovox part numbers 141BP, 141BPR, 171BP and 171BPR – are 1-button remote start transmitters. Those with “BP” at the end have the Prestige brand and those with “BPR” at the end have the Pursuit brand.

The differences can be very minor. For instance, 141BP and 171BP have the same function and look very similar. The most noticeable difference is the button icon. Remote 141BP has a key symbol for the icon and keyfob 171BP has a circular arrow symbol. For comparison, the Pursuit brand versions of these four interchangeable remotes can be seen in the links below:

Remote Transmitters with FCC ID EZSDEI7701

Remotes Unlimited is aware of 5 two-way LCD remote transceivers with FCC ID EZSDEI7701. To our knowledge, only two of these keyfobs are still being manufactured.

EZSDEI7701 remotes carrying the UNGO or ASTROSTART brand are unique, and cannot be replaced by any other two-way keyfob. We have been out of stock on the UNGO transceiver for some time. We do stock the ASTROSTART remote (HST-5224) as our part 073-7410, which you can see and purchase at the following link:
AstroStart remote 073-7410

The other three EZSDEI7701 remotes – on DEI models with the brand CLIFFORD, PYTHON or VIPER – are all interchangeable. They contain the same circuit board despite differences in external cosmetic features. Only the VIPER brand part is still made. It is our part 889-1889. These DEI-brand systems also accept a 1-way companion transmitter. Remotes Unlimited offers the Clifford brand remote (our part 934-1934). You can see and purchase these keyfobs at the following link:

Audiovox Car Alarm Systems Using AA-9158 Power Door Lock Interface

We recently received an inquiry from a customer who said the add-on car alarm system in his vehicle is an Audiovox AA-9158 system. This reference number actually refers to a power door lock interface component that was used in multiple alarm systems. Those systems include AA-9147, AA-9247, TSP-300, TSP-400, TSP-450, TSP-500, TSP-550, TSP-700 and TSP-750 alarm models.

The original remote transmitter used with these systems is Remotes Unlimited part 178-1178. It is no longer made, but there is a newer Audiovox Prestige system key fob that will work as a replacement for the original remote. You can see both transmitters at the following link:

Interchangeable Remote Key Fobs with Different Button Configurations

At Remotes Unlimited, we often are asked questions about button configurations and icons on keyless entry and add-on system remote transmitters. Questions include such things as:
(1) “When I search for my keyfob on remotesunlimited.com using my FCC ID, why do I see multiple parts with different buttons on them?”
(2) “If I buy a keyfob with a remote start button, will I be able to remotely start my car?”
(3) “Will it matter if the button in your picture does not look exactly like the one on my remote?”
(4) “My remote has a trunk button icon. Your site is offering me a part with a liftgate icon instead. Will it work?”

These are all reasonable questions. Here are some things you should know:

First, manufacturers sometimes change the icon on a remote transmitter button for no apparent reason and with no operational effect. This could be because of a perceived user benefit, such as adding the word “Hold” on a button to indicate that the button needs to be pressed and held down to have the desired effect. Or it could be because a graphic artist decided it would look better. Or, the replacement remote may be made by a different supplier than the original part shipped with a vehicle. So, the fact that a button looks slightly different on a replacement remote is not a certain indication that it will not work in place of your original remote.

Second, while the number and placement of buttons on a remote can be important to its operation, there are countless situations in which keyfobs with different button configurations have the same circuit board inside the remote. So, it is not unusual for two otherwise similar remotes – one with a trunk button, say, and another with a liftgate button – to be entirely interchangeable. And a 4-button remote with an “OPT” (option) button added is likely to work with an add-on system that used an otherwise equivalent 3-button remote with no “OPT” button.

Unfortunately, the challenge faced by nearly all consumers looking to buy a replacement remote is that generalizations don’t matter. All that matters is what is true in their specific situation. That is why you should always buy a replacement remote from a source that you find to have the knowledge and experience to be credible selling you a complicated technical security part.

Oh yes, about that remote start button question. If your vehicle was not originally equipped with remote engine start capability, there is very little chance that simply buying a keyfob with a remote start button on it will perform that function. If it does, then either you or the part may have magical powers.
