Programming Ford Keyless Entry Remotes

A reader saw yesterday’s blog post about Ford F-series truck keyless entry remotes (link here) said she has a replacement remote for her 2005 F-series pickup but has not been able to get the vehicle to go into programming mode. The most common reason for this relates to speed when repeatedly turning the key from on and off. This procedure has to be done very quickly to put the vehicle in programming mode. The second most common issue is that some vehicles do not register each on-off cycle, so sometimes you have to turn the key on and off more times than the programming procedure requires. Once the car or truck is in programming mode, all you have to do is press any button on the new key fob. We hope these tips help.
