After many years of using stand-alone remote key fobs for its factory keyless entry systems, Ford began switching some vehicles over to using “keyhead” remote transmitters around 2007. This was true for the keyless entry systems on the 2007-09 Ford Edge SUVs, which used a 3-button remote. This part has FCC ID OUCD6000022 and a 40-bit Texas Instruments transponder for anti-theft security. Ford has discontinued this part, but Remotes Unlimited still has some in stock.
