Replacement GM Factory Keyless Entry Remotes with FCC ID OUC60221

Since 2008 model years, GM has used a family of remotes on most of its trucks and SUVs – and some sedans – that have originally had FCC ID OUC60270 on the back. The replacement remotes for many of these vehicles now have FCC ID OUC60221 on the back of the case.

This family of remotes includes many different button configurations. See them all at this link.

If you are buying a replacement GM car, SUV or truck remote, you may want to find out about the programming situation for your vehicle’s factory keyless entry system first. If your vehicle is a 2010 model year or older, there is a reasonable chance that it is user programmable. This is more likely to be the case for trucks, less likely for sedans, and SUVs fall inbetween. Check your user manual and the menu of options associated with the “i” (information) button on your radio or dashboard. You should be able to figure out the programming situation from this information. If you vehicle is not user programmable, you will need to take the vehicle and all of the remotes you plan to use with it to a dealership for programming.
