Replacement Proximity “Smart-Key” Remote Transmitters for 2011-13 Kia Forte Vehicles

2011-13 Kia Forte vehicles used two different proximity remotes, depending on whether the vehicle was a 2-dr coupe (“Koup”, in Kia parlance), 4-dr sedan or 5-dr wagon. The only difference between the remotes is the rear button icon. Both remotes have FCC ID SY5HMFNA04.

The 2-dr coupe and 4-dr sedan use Kia part number 95440-1M211, which has a trunk icon on the rear (third) button. See this part at the following link:

The 5-dr hatchback uses Kia part number 95440-1M220, which has a liftgate icon on the rear (third) button. See this part at the following link:

If you happen to have a 2011-13 Kia Forte sedan or coupe that does not have push-button start, the conventional remote keyfob for your vehicle is Kia part 95430-1M100 with FCC ID PINHA-T008. The link for this part is as follows:

All of these keyless entry remote transmitters require dealership programming with a scan tool.
