installed on a vehicle and what replacement remote
transmitter will work best with the system.
Programming and Technical
Support :
Programming instructions and
technical support are included free with every purchase.
If you are unable to program your new remote, call our
tech support personnel (from your vehicle, if at all
possible), and they will walk you through the
programming process. Keep in mind that the
receiver/control module in the vehicle itself could be
the source of a malfunction. Also, it can be difficult
to program an aftermarket alarm system unless both the
valet button/switch and the siren are functioning at the
time of programming.
Scan Tool and Transponder Key
Programming :
Some factory keyless entry system
remote transmitters and the key portion of some
"keyhead" remotes can not be programmed without access
to a manufacturer's diagnostic and service device called
a "scan tool". Only vehicle dealers and well-equipped
repair facilities and locksmiths invest in scan tools.
They generally charge customers to program a new part
(usually, one-half hour of labor). Our phone personnel
will always inform customers if the part they wish to
order will require a scan tool for programming.
