Did You Know? — Seat Memory Fobs

Many of our customers are nervous when buying a replacement remote control for a vehicle with seat memory. They seem to think that there is a technical difference between the remotes marked “Fob 1” and “Fob 2”. Generally, there is no difference between the parts other than fob # marking on the case. This marking is to help the vehicle users tell the two remotes apart so they can easily know which remote corresponds with which seat memory positions. For the vasy majority of seat memory systems, it does not matter what fob # is on the replacement part. With a few exceptions, the system receiver in your vehicle does not care what marking is on the case.
