Ford and Lincoln GEN2 (“Paddle”) PEPS Remote Transmitters with FCC ID M3N5WY8609

Ford introduced use of its GEN2 (2nd generation) PEPS remote transmitters with FCC ID M3N5WY8609 on certain Lincoln vehicles beginning with the 2011 model year and in 2012 on some Ford vehicles. This series of remotes is often referred to as the Ford “paddle” key fobs because of their concave shape. There are both 4-button and 5-button versions of the remote.

There is one “watch out” when replacing a Ford paddle remote. A version of the key fob referred to as the “EURO” version was used on Ford C-MAX Energi, Escape and Focus vehicles. This remote uses a different style emergency key than the other versions of the remote.
