Programming a Remote Key Fob with FCC ID H5OT21

A blog reader contacted us for help programming the system in his 2005 RAV4 that uses a remote keyfob with FCC ID H5OT21. This FCC ID is only associated with aftermarket alarm and remote start systems, so his Toyota dealer had installed this system on the vehicle. Consequently, remote transmitter part and programming information for the factory-installed keyless entry system used on 2005 RAV4 vehicles is irrelevant. Here is our response:

There were several different remotes with FCC ID H5OT21. You can see them at the following link:
Remotes with FCC ID H5OT21

They were used on a variety of aftermarket alarm systems marketed by AutoPage and Code Alarm under the names Alert, Guardian and Marksman in addition to AutoPage and Code Alarm. All of these systems are user programmable. Remotes Unlimited can assist with programming any of these systems. We do charge for that service if you have not purchased a remote from us. To get assistance, call us at 281-820-0300 (M-F 9am-5pm Central time) and choose option 3 for tech support.

To complete programming, we need to know the model of the system. You can determine this by finding the control module (receiver) in your vehicle. It is usually located under the dashboard on the driver side. Also, the procedure uses the valet (shut-off) switch for your system, so you may want to be sure that component is working before you call us. (We do sell valet switches if you need one.)
