Replacement DEI Alarm System Remote Key Fobs with FCC ID EZSDEI476

As we have said in this blog before, DEI is one of the most successful and prolific aftermarket alarm system companies, selling systems under several brand names like Automate, Avital, Clifford, Python, Viper and others. DEI is known for offering systems with different styles of remote transmitter that actually use the same circuit board. Consequently, many of there keyfobs are interchangeable. This is good because it means that there is often a substitute remote available when they discontinue an older model.

One family of DEI remotes that are no longer made are the 2-button, 3-button and 4-button keyfobs with FCC ID EZSDEI476x. (The “x” in this is a wild card character that could represent any of several different characters. Some of the remotes just had FCC ID EZSDEI476 on the back with no ending character.)

See many of the EZSDEI476x remotes at this link.

While most of these parts have been discontinued by DEI, they all have available substitute remotes with different FCC IDs that will work just like the original. Also, all of these parts are user programmable using the valet switch of your system.
