Replacement Toyota 4Runner Keyless Entry Remote Keyfob with FCC ID HYQ……

A reader commented about the last post (link here) asking whether other vehicles used the same remote keyfob that was used on the 2006 Toyota Sequoia. The answer is yes. From 1999 through 2009, Toyota 4Runners equipped with factory keyless entry also used a 4-button keyfob with an FCC ID beginning with HYQ. Some had FCC ID HYQ1512Y, some had FCC ID HYQ12BAN and others had FCC ID HYQ12BBX. All had the panic button on the back and lock, unlock and rear window roll-down buttons on the front. All of these applications are user programmable.
