View CartFor a period of roughly 3 years beginning in late 1999, Nissan installed many different factory keyless entry systems on both Nissan and Infiniti cars, trucks and SUVs that used remote key fobs with FCC ID KBRASTU09 and KBRASTU10. These remotes all look very similar. There were 3-button and 4-button versions. Some had a Nissan logo and others an Infiniti logo. Otherwise, the remotes are very difficult to distinguish.
However, many of these remotes are not interchangeable. Even two remotes with the same FCC ID, logo and button count may not work in place of each other. Also, a few of these remotes are compatible with the later style of Nissan parts bearing FCC ID KBRASTU15, but most are not.
So, if you are buying a remote for your Nissan or Infiniti car, truck or SUV, be sure you know exactly what part you need and buy it from a source that is expert in part specification. Also, KBRASTU09 and KBRASTU10 remotes are user programmable for all applications. So, be sure to buy your replacement keyfob from a company that provides free programming instructions and phone technical support. This will save you the cost of taking your vehicle and the new remote to a dealership for programming, which can cost $50 or more.

Remotes Unlimited part 587-1587 is the 4-button version. Infiniti also made a 3-button version of this transmitter, which is Remotes Unlimited part 493-1493. The remotes are interchangeable except that 493-1493 does not have a rear function (trunk) button.
