Replacement Aftermarket Alarm System Remotes with FCC ID H5LAL777A

We were contacted by a customer over the weekend who needs a replacement remote transmitter for his old aftermarket alarm system. The only identifying information he could find was that the circuit board number is MT5A.

While Remotes Unlimited does not have a search method based on circuit board numbers, we do have reference information for many circuit board numbers, particularly those used on aftermarket alarm systems. And, in some cases, our FCC ID search method relies on circuit board referencing as step 2 in the specification process.

Circuit board MT5A is one of these situations. The FCC ID number H5LAL777A was used on many remote controls that contained different internal circuit boards. The only way to properly specify a replacement remote for a keyfob with FCC ID H5LAL777A is by checking the circuit board number.

In the case of our customer with the MT5A circuit board, the correct replacement keyfob is Remotes Unlimited part 255-1255, marketed by Magnadyne. The remote we sell may look different than a customer’s original remote, but it is compatible with the MT5A circuit board and is the only replacement part currently made that will work in place of the original remote.
