The distinctive thing about this remote is that it is the only Hyundai remote with user programmable applications. XG300 and XG350 sedans from the 2001, 2002 and 2003 model years are user programmable. However, Hyundai switched their approach with the 2004 model year, so 2004-2005 XG350 cars require a scan tool for programming.
