Replacing Aftermarket Alarm Remote Key Fobs with FCC ID ELV777K

A reader posted a comment saying he needs to replace his Carbine remote with FCC ID ELV777K. We responded to him as follows:

Carbine made a variety of remotes with FCC ID ELV777K on the case. These remotes are not all interchangeable, so more information is needed to determine the correct remote. Here are the situations:

1. If your original remote had 1 button, then you need our part number 255-1255. A link to this part on our website is:

2. If your original remote had 2 buttons, then we need to determine the number on your printed circuit board. It should be 777H, 777L, MT01, MT5A or MT7A. There is a graphic on our website to help you figure out where the number is and below the graphic is a place to designate which PCB number you have. The link to this on our website is:

3. Please note that if the PCB number is 777H or 777L, then we also need the number on the white tape strip that should be in your old remote. Our website will prompt you for this information after you select the PCB number.

I hope you find this helpful. If you need assistance, please call Remotes Unlimited toll-free at 877-719-1900. If you choose extension 1 for sales, anyone who answers should be able to help you.
