Suzuki Keyhead Remote Transmitters

You may wonder if Suzuki has ever used keyhead transmitters as one of its approaches to factory keyless entry systems. The answer is yes. Suzuki has used two keyhead remote transmitters to date.

One was used on the 2005-2008 Reno. This keyhead part has part number 37145-85Z00 and FCC ID NYOSAKS-01TX. The 3 buttons of the remote transmitter operate lock, unlock and trunk release functions.

The second was used on the 2004-2006 Verona. This keyhead part has part number 37145-86Z00 and FCC ID KR55WY8201-2-3. This remote transmitter operates the same functions, but it is only a 2-button remote. One button operates both the lock and unlock function.

It appears that Suzuki, like many other vehicle manufacturers, has moved away from use of keyhead transmitters. All of the keyless entry remotes on their current vehicle models are either traditional (separate) keyfobs or proximity transmitters.
