Toyota Port/Dealer-Installed Keyless Entry Remote with FCC ID ELVATDC

For Toyota vehicles that were not engineered to have factory keyless entry systems on every model, Toyota often adds a port-installed or dealer-installed keyless entry system here in North America. One of these systems uses a 3-button remote keyfob with FCC ID ELVATDC on the back. This remote has lock and unlock buttons on the front and a panic button on the back. As you might guess from the lack of a rear button function, this dealer-installed system was generally added to Toyota trucks, such as Tacoma and Tundra models.

See Toyota add-on keyless entry system remote with FCC ID ELVATDC at this link.

The circuit board in this remote is identical to the one in a 4-button remote with FCC ID ELVATDD. Because the board is the same, the two remotes are interchangeable. Remotes Unlimited sells the 4-button version to replace both the 3-button and 4-button keyfobs. As may be obvious, if your vehicle has a system installed that did not operate a rear function, the rear function button on the 4-button remote will not do anything.

Both remotes are programmable by a user.

I need to purchase two replacement remotes for my corolla with the
FCC id# ELVATDC on the back. Please tell me how to get them,

just bought a 2011 toyota tacoma that did not come equipped with power windows or remote keyless opener. Is there a keyless kit/installation available in San Diego area?

    • admin says:

Remotes Unlimited does not sell DIY kits for installing add-on keyless entry, alarm or remote start systems. All we sell is remote transmitters and, soon, replacement cases. If you want a system installed for you, I recommend that you check with someone who has DEI products. I believe they have a fairly full line of add-on systems.

I need a remote replacement to my FJ Cuiser, with the FCC ID ELVATDC. Which one I can buy?

    Thanks

Excellent question. Toyota used two dealer-installed keyless entry systems on many of its vehicles that had remotes with FCC ID ELVATDC on the back. The two systems operate at different frequencies, so their remotes are not interchangeable. So, buying the correct replacement part requires that you figure out which of the two systems you have.

Also, the original remotes for both systems are no longer manufactured. Replacement remotes are available for both systems, but they will look different and have a different FCC ID than the original remotes.

The best way to know which system you have is by the color of the LED light on your original remote. A GREEN LED light signifies a low-frequency system. The correct replacement remote for that system is our part 092-6435. You can see it and buy it at the following link:
Part 092-6435 for ELVATDC remotes with GREEN LED

A RED LED light signifies a low-frequency system. The correct replacement remote for that system is our part 495-1495. You can see it and buy it at the following link:
Part 495-1495 for ELVATDC remotes with RED LED

All Toyota dealer-installed systems are user programmable. The difficulty of the programming process depends in part on how the systems were installed. If you have any questions about this or would like help placing an order, call Remotes Unlimited and select option 1 for sales or 2 for tech support.

I have a corolla XRS 2005. My remote said ELVATDC. I bought an ELVATDD because it’s supposed to be compatible. I tried multiple way to make my car go to programming mode but it won’t work. I did the turning key 7 times, the opening the door twice etc, and last one the lock unlock 5 times etc. None of the video I’ve seen work for my car. Can you help?

        • admin says:

You are using the correct programming procedure. Unfortunately, the remote with FCC ID ELVATDD is not compatible with your remote with FCC ID ELVATDC. We are doing some research to try to determine if another remote is compatible with your system. When we know, we will follow up with you again.

DO HAVE TO BUY ONE WITH THE LIGHT ON IT OR WHAT THANK YOU

For most remotes that have an LED on them, the light is just there to help you know that the battery is working and sending power to the circuit board. However, for some older remotes, the LED can be an important aspect of part specification because there can be two remotes that have the same FCC ID and look the same except for the LED color, and the color of the LED means they operate at different frequencies or transmit a different signal. This is true of old Toyota port-installed systems using remotes with FCC ID ELVATDC. Original remotes with a Green LED are not interchangeable with those that have a Red LED.

Both of the original remotes with FCC ID ELVATDC have been discontinued but there is a replacement remote for each of them. The original remote with FCC ID ELVATDC and a Green LED is now substituted by a newer Toyota remote with FCC ID ELVATDD. The new part has RUI part number 092-6435. See both the old and new remotes at the following link:
Old Toyota dealer-installed remote with FCC ID ELVATDC and Green LED

The discontinued remote with FCC ID ELVATDC and a Red LED is replaced by an Audiovox/Code Alarm part that looks entirely different and has FCC ID ELVATDB. The new part has RUI part number 495-1495. See both the old and new remotes at the following link:
Discontinued remote with FCC ID ELVATDC and Red LED

Systems that use either of these remotes are user programmable.

For a Corolla 2005 with FCC ELVATDC , shipping to Puerto Rico?

    • admin says:

Audiovox/Code Alarm supplied Toyota with two systems for port or dealer installation that used remotes with FCC ID ELVATDC. Remotes for one system have a green LED light; those for the other system have a red LED light. These two remotes are not interchangeable. Both of the original parts have been discontinued, but Remotes Unlimited sells replacement transmitters for both of them.
If your remote has a red LED, the correct replacement remote is our part 495-1495. You can see the original part and the replacement at this link:
      Part 495-1495
If your remote has a green LED, the correct replacement remote is our part 092-6435. You can see the original part and the replacement at this link:
      Part 092-6435
Both of these parts have different FCC IDs than your original remote, but they should work for your system if you select based on the color of the LED light on your original remote. The system in your vehicle is user-programmable. Programming instructions and free phone tech support are included with purchase. I will check the shipping options to Puerto Rico and follow up with you Monday.

I believe I promised some information on shipping to Puerto Rico. We are currently using the US Postal Service for shipping to Puerto Rico. First class mail with tracking and insurance costs $4.95 and may take 6-12 days for delivery. Express shipment costs $24.00 and should arrive in 1-3 days. If you have any questions, you can reach us at 281-820-0300 between 9am-6pm Central time. (Except our power is down for the next hour or two while they replace a utility pole outside, so phones are currently unavailable.)

I have a Toyota Rav4 2005 model. I have attempted several times to reactivate my car remote. Toyota says they cannot reactivate it because it was dealer-installed. I ordered a new remote online thinking I could reactivate it by following a DIY video but that too did not work. Is there a way for your company to help me with this?

  8. Lennie Chan says:

My car remote is a FCC ID:H50T21 for a Toyota Rav4 2005 model.

    • admin says:

Sorry for the delay in responding. I just saw this and your other message about having a system on your 2005 RAV4 that uses a remote with FCC ID H50T21. There were several different remotes with FCC ID H50T21. They were used on a variety of aftermarket alarm systems marketed by AutoPage under the names Alert, Guardian and Marksman in addition to AutoPage. All of these systems are user programmable. We can assist you with programming your system. We do charge for that service if you have not purchased a remote from us. To get assistance, call us at 281-820-0300 (M-F 9am-5pm Central time) and choose option 3 for tech support.

It will be helpful if you know the model of your system. You can determine this by finding the control module (receiver) in your vehicle. It is usually located under the dashboard on the driver side. Also, the procedure uses the valet (shut-off) switch for your system, so you may want to be sure that component is working before you call us. (We do sell valet switches if you need one.)

Hy, I got a toyota corolla 2010 ELVATDC RED LIGHT, what I need to get to replace?

    • admin says:

      Elvin,
To replace your port-/dealer-installed system remote with FCC ID ELVATDC, you need RUI part 092-6435, the new replacement transmitter made by Audiovox for Toyota. The new remote has a different FCC ID and a green LED instead of a red one, but it is the same technology. You can see and purchase part 092-6435 at the following link:
RUI part 092-6435 for Toyota port-/dealer-installed systems

Your system has “on-board” programming, so you should be able to program it yourself to accept the new transmitter. Instructions are provided with the remote, and we offer free phone tech support with purchase in case you run into any difficulty.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.

Hello, I need a remote for my 2007 Toyota FJ Cuiser, FCC ID ELVATDC. (Red light.)

    • admin says:

      Denis:

We believe the ELVATDC remotes with a Red LED light are no longer made. However, there are two things we would like to try to see if we can help you.

First, we would like you to send us your VIN so we can explore with Toyota what they say about the system on your vehicle. They may have assigned a new part number to replace your remote that we do not know about yet.

Second, we would like to send you a used part of a different style. Your system is an add-on system used by Toyota for port-installed and dealer-installed systems on vehicles that left the factory without keyless entry. Audiovox supplied that system for Toyota. Our part 495-1495 works as a replacement for a very high proportion of high-frequency (434MHz) systems made by Audiovox. There is a chance it will work for yours. If it does not work, it will do no harm; it simply will not be able to synch up with the receiver in your vehicle. We will ship the used part to you at no cost if you will agree to let us know the outcome when you try to program it to your system. Our tech support personnel can be on the phone with you when you do try to program it. That will make it easier for you and also provide the answer we need. If it works, you can keep it. If it does not, you can dispose of it. If it works and you want a new part, we will give you a 25% discount on a new part for helping us out.

If this path is acceptable to you, please email me your VIN along with your name and mailing address. My email address is [email protected]

i have a 2007 corolla ce that has keyless entry i am almost positive was dealer installed and not factory. previous owner lost both key fobs & i have searched & searched for correct fob to program to my car.
the little black control module box that is under driver dash says KE MODULE PART NUMBER 00016-79200-01. and on the little black box it says FCC ID BGA97TOYR. what key fob do i need for this so i can program it to work?

    • admin says:

The correct transmitter for this system is our part 092-6435. This keyfob is no longer made, but we offer pre-owned transmitters of this type. There is a new transmitter that replaces it – our part 092-7331. You can see both remotes and buy whichever one suits your preference at this link: Pre-owned 092-6435 with alternate 092-7331
