Replacement Audiovox (Pursuit & Prestige) Remote for Low-Frequency Alarm Systems

Yesterday’s blog raised questions from people who have an Audiovox alarm system that operates at a lower frequency (303 mHz). Many older Prestige and Pursuit alarm systems (brands marketed by Audiovox) operate at this frequency. The original remotes used on those systems had a variety of shapes and button configurations. A common current replacement remote for them has FCC ID ELVAT5C and, in various forms, has used Audiovox part number APS95BT2, PRO94BT2 or PRO94FR. This is Remotes Unlimited part 267-1267.

Though this 2-button key fob has a Prestige brand logo on the front, it replaces many low-frequency remotes having several other Audiovox brands, including Pursuit, Karr and Audiovox private label systems (which could have almost any brand). It can even be used as a replacement for many Omega systems with brands such as Crimeguard, M.A.T. and K-9. Many of these different brands used different FCC IDs, so our part 267-1267 replaces original remotes with FCC IDs BGAAV2TF, BGAOE2BT, BGAPR02T, ELVAT8C, FOB96BT2 and L2MET5A, to name a few. To confirm whether this is the correct replacement remote for your low-frequency alarm system, search for your part using the search engine on the Remotes Unlimited website.

Note that, though part APS95BT2 has two buttons, it can perform three functions. The third function is accessed by pressing both buttons simultaneously. So, this replacement remote is a viable choice for replacing compatible 3-button remote controls.
