View CartWe received an inquiry from a gentleman who has a 1998 Cadillac DeVille with seat memory. His fob #2 remote worked fine but, on his #1 keyfob, only the gas cap release was working. This is kind of an unusual situation. one of our technical support experts suggested he try cleaning the button contacts on the circuit board and on the back of the button pad to make sure good contact was being made. Sometimes, wear and deterioration cause grit, plastic or decayed rubber to interfere with good button contact. This must have been the case because, after cleaning these surfaces, all of the button functions on keyfob #1 worked fine. It is a good thing for the customer when we can solve his problem without even requiring a purchase . . . and every customer we can help is a good thing for Remotes Unlimited. We believe in karma.
