View CartWe recently received an inquiry from an individual trying to find a replacement remote for a Clifford (DEI) Bullet 2 alarm system. This system used DEI part 904015 with FCC ID CZ57RRTX12R. The original part has been discontinued by DEI and is very hard to find. However, RUI does sell a replacement remote for this system – our own ReMoto brand keyfob – so we were able to solve the customer’s problem.
If you are buying a replacement car alarm remote online, you have to be a little careful though. The same FCC ID CZ57RRTX12R was used on DEI part number 904020, which was used with some other Clifford alarm systems. This part has also been discontinued by DEI. Unfortunately, part 904020 cannot be replaced by our ReMoto keyfob or any other remote that we are aware of. If you need this remote, your best bet is to shop online and try to locate a used part somewhere . . . and then hope it has enough life left in it to meet your needs.
If you have a remote with FCC ID CZ57RRTX12R on the case and you are not sure whether it is part 904015 or 904020, you can open up the case and look at the circuit board inside. If it has a single IC chip on it, it is part 904015. If it has 2 IC chips, it is part 904020.
