Did You Know . . . Nissan and Infiniti Often Use the Same Keyless Entry Remote Key Fobs

Yes, it’s true. In many cases Nissan and Infiniti vehicles use the same keyless entry systems. Consequently, the same remote transmitter will often work on a Nissan vehicle and an Infiniti vehicle. The keyfobs that were used on the most Nissan and Infiniti vehicles are the 3-button and 4-button remotes with FCC ID KBRASTU15. They cover a large number of vehicles starting with the 2001 or 2002 model years.

See Nissan and Infiniti remotes with FCC ID KBRASTU15 at this link.

The 4-button remote with the trunk icon is sold at most Advance Auto and Pep Boys stores as part number CPR-9504. It will replace both the 3-button keyfob and the 4-button remote with a liftgate button. The system in all vehicles using this remote can be programmed by the user. So, if you are buying a replacement remote for your Nissan or Infiniti car, truck or SUV, you can save a lot of money versus the dealership if you buy the remote at Advance Auto or Pep Boys and program it yourself.
