Chrysler Keyless Entry Remotes with FCC ID GQ43VT13T

Chrysler installed two factory keyless entry systems that used remotes with FCC ID GQ43VT13T. The remotes for the two systems look nearly identical but are not interchangeable. They are both 3-button key fobs with lock, unlock and panic buttons. One remote (Chrysler part 04671641AE and variants thereof) was used on the 2001-2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser. The other remotes (Chrysler part 56049249AA and 04686481AA and variants thereof) was used on Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth vans beginning with the 1998 models. This second remote is no longer made, but has been replaced by a nearly identical key fob that has FCC ID GQ43VT17T. So, if you are buying a replacement remote and your original remote has FCC ID GQ43VT13T on the back, be careful that you select the correct key fob.

As with most Chrysler keyless entry systems of this era, both of these remotes are user programmable only if you already have a working remote to put the system into programming mode. Without a working remote, programming a new remote requires a scan tool.
