Honda Keyless Entry Remote with FCC ID E4EG8DJ

It is not unusual for vehicle manufacturers to use similar or identical keyless entry systems on multiple vehicles. Sometimes, these systems have identical key fobs with different part numbers.

As a case in point, Honda used factory and dealer-installed keyless entry systems on a variety of vehicles from 1997 on that used 4-button remotes with FCC ID E4EG8DJ. For instance, Honda remote part 72147-S2A-A01 was used on 2-door Honda S2000 vehicles from the 2000 through 2009 model years. But a system using an identical part with a different Honda part number, 72147-S10-A51, was used on the 5-door 1998 Honda CR-V.
