Omega Aftermarket Alarm System Remote Controls

Omega Research and Development is one of the leading manufacturers of aftermarket alarm systems. Omega made systems sold under brands such as M.A.T., K-9 and Excalibur.

Omega alarm systems are among the more challenging for which to specify a replacement remote control. Many of their keyfobs have been discontinued. However, almost all of these older parts have an active replacement remote available.

For instance, systems that originally used remotes with the FCC ID L2MET5C, now use replacement remotes with FCC ID L2MET5B or L2MET7A. There are two different replacement remotes because the FCC ID L2MET5C was used on keyfobs with a red LED light that transmitted at 302 mHz and also on remotes with a green LED light that transmitted at 434 mHz. It is always hard to figure why aftermarket alarm manufacturers do these things, but they do.

Your replacement remote may also look different because of the brand duplication. Remotes that are technically identical could have any of the Omega brands on the case.
