Replacement GM Truck Keyless Entry Remote Keyfob with FCC ID OUC60270

One of the newer families of keyless entry remotes is the group with FCC ID OUC60270. This family of remotes was used on many Chevrolet, GMC, Saturn, Buick and Pontiac SUVs, trucks and a few sedans dating back to 2007. For instance, Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks used remotes with FCC ID OUC60270 beginning in 2007 and are still using them today.

Pickup trucks such as Silverado and Sierra used two remotes, a 3-button remote with lock, unlock and panic buttons and a 4-button remote with those buttons plus remote start. Links are provided below:

The problematic thing about all OUC60270 remotes is that some vehicles are user programmable and some are not. GM would probably say that there is rhyme or reason behind this approach, but we cannot figure it out. If the vehicle is user programmable, one can tell by looking at the menu options associated with either the driver information center or the odometer button. From 2011 on, all vehicles require dealership programming.
